Bill Sullivan of Lutheran Congregations in Mission for Christ reports that LCMC has received 19 congregations in the first three months of 2009, and there are several more who have voted since to join the association.

July 7, 8, 9 – 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. – McLaughlin VBS – Come along as we lead Vacation Bible School with the Schmeichels at Freedom Fellowship! This is a great time of fun, comeradery, and sharing Jesus with all whom we meet down there. Not only do we lead in music, games, crafts, and Bible story times, but we also cook and serve food. We need help with registration, too! So there is a place for everyone! This will count toward your confirmation requirements, too! Come along for a great time!

July 20 – 6:00 p.m. - Amazing Grays - potluck

July 17–21 - Minneapolis Mission Trip 7-9th graders; we work with Mary’s Sharing and Caring, the Marie Sandvik Center, and the House of Charity to serve the homeless and inner-city families and children, clean the community, and do street ministry. Also a day at Valley Fair, and a trip to the Science Museum and an omnitheatre presentation. Get ready to serve in downtown Minneapolis along with action and fun. Cost $140

July 25- Aug. 6 – God’s Child Project to Guatemala for adults, college students and 10-12th graders at God’s Child Project in Antigua, Guatemala. Serve the Lord by building houses, working with orphans, visiting schools, serving food, and any other way the Lord opens the doors. Please keep us in your prayers as we prepare for this mission trip

Late July – AugustHorsin’ Around Camp – Pam Upgren will once again host this wonderful camp where kids can learn about the care and keeping of horses. Details will be forthcoming.

Aug 5-8 – The Holy Spirit Conference at North Heights Lutheran Church in St. Paul, MN. The theme is “The Prevailing Church.” www.lutheranrenewal.org
