We are dedicated to helping every child have an opportunity to experience Jesus Christ in a compelling and engaging way and to allow people opportunities to support and be supported through real relationships.
MISSION Our mission is to encourage and help lead all children into an authentic relationship with Christ. Hebrews 11:6 Unattended Nursery An unstaffed nursery with rocking chairs, a playpen, infant toys, books and diapering essentials is located to the east of the fellowship area outside the sanctuary. Parents or guardians and nursing mothers are encouraged to use this room whenever needed to care for their children. This nursery is open and available during all hours. Occasionally, this room may be used for other purposes; if that is the case, parents or guardians may use a nursery room downstairs. Adults can continue to participate in services with the live stream feed while caring for your children. Nursery classrooms (2) Two staffed classes are provided for children ages 0-to-3. One room is furnished for 0-to-18-month-old children and the other classroom for 18-months through the age of 3. These classrooms are open and available during church services unless otherwise specified. Parents and guardians are welcome to join their children in these rooms or to utilize the furnishings. When staff is limited, or child attendance is low, one classroom will be available for both age groups. Classroom staff will include one CPR-trained adult and may consist of other adults or teenaged student assistants. All volunteers and staff at Charity are required to complete a background check before working with your children. Our caregivers are loving, responsible and have a passion for teaching and interacting with children. We seek to care for your children within a safe environment, including a check-in-and-out system and a lockdown of the children’s area while in session. Beepers are provided to parents and guardians in the event staff needs to notify them during the worship service discreetly. My name is Heidi Brown, and I am the Charity Nursery Director. Charity Lutheran church has been our home church since moving to North Dakota from Minnesota. Charity has provided for us in so many ways, that it is an honor to be able to serve and give back to others. I am married to Jeff Brown and have two children, Emily and Jackson. I have been teaching children for many years in several areas, such as home daycare, preschool teacher and toddler teacher in a daycare facility, migrant school, and now as a nanny. I am so excited to be given the opportunity to teach your children in a religious atmosphere. I believe no child is too young to hear about God and His word, learn songs and pray. Please feel free to contact me to visit further with you. Heidi Brown Charity Nursery Director 701-258-1471 heidi.brown@charitylutheran.org Registration
Register your child online CHECK-IN: Use the iPad kiosk located at the bottom of the stairs. Name tags will print for you and your child. Tag your child and bring them to their classroom. Use your “guardian name tag” to pick up your child. If you are unable to pick up your child, it is acceptable for another responsible adult or older sibling to do so. Please note: The doors to the children’s wing will be open 10 minutes after programming begins and remain locked until five minutes prior to programming end. If you need to enter the children’s area while the doors are locked, please use the doorbell on the right side of the main doors. This is the only accessible door during programming. The north and south entrances remain locked at all times. |
