"Make joyful music unto the Lord" describes the worship/music ministry of the irrepressible and gifted Robert T. "Bubba" Peske. In 2001, Bubba came on staff and let the Holy Spirit use him to take Charity's worship arts and music ministry through the roof. Worship at Charity is real and powerful - come on any Sunday or Wednesday and find out for yourself.
Bubba says he leads worship for "an audience of One."
As a professional free-lance musician and music educator, Bubba draws from a pool of talented Charity musicians, dancers and artists as well as colleagues who are local musicians and artists, many of them students. You can hear bluegrass, steel drums, jazz and salsa music at Charity - people of different backgrounds and walks offering their musical gifts to God.
Prior to coming on staff, Bob was an instrumental music teacher in the Bismarck Public Schools for 18 years, teaching grades 5-12, and was director of instrumental music at Bismarck High School. He is on staff at the University of Mary, Bismarck, ND, where he teaches guitar, guitar ensemble, and technology for music educators. He is a member of the University of Mary Faculty Jazz Quartet. Bob is also a free-lance guitarist in the Bismarck area performing regularly with the Aspen Jazz Quartet as well as being a founding member, guitarist, vocalist and arranger for the recording group, Nu-Voyce Jazz Quartet. He was formerly a member of the International Music Camp Jazz Faculty, the Trollwood Performing Arts Jazz Faculty as well as being involved as guest guitarist at the Mandan Jazz Camp and the Brandon University Jazz Festival in Brandon, Manitoba Canada.
Bob, assisted by the Charity Dream Teams, has led worship at interdenominational events at Sleepy Hollow Park, University of Mary, Belle Mehus Auditorium, Kirkwood Mall, the Waterford housing project, Freedom Fellowship ministry, youth mission trips, and the local FIRE youth gatherings, while collaborating with other community music leaders to bring Christ to young and old through music and worship.
Charity's worship team uses resources from Willow Creek Church in Barrington, IL and can be seen leading community praise and worship events.
